City of Gainesville issued the following announcement.
The City of Gainesville Cultural Affairs Board and the Gainesville Art in Public Places Trust are accepting nominations through Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2020 for the city’s annual Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs arts awards.
Each year, the organizations recognize individuals and businesses that have made significant contributions to the advancement of the arts in the community. New this year is the Emerging Artists Arts Award category. It joins the following award categories: Business Arts Award, Individual Arts Award and the Lennie Kesl Lifetime Arts Award. In addition, the Art in Public Places Trust Public Art Award is presented annually to an individual or entity who has exhibited meaningful public art works in Gainesville.
