UF College of Nursing issued the following announcement on Aug. 11.
DNP PMHNP student Taylor Bell, BSN, RN was selected by the University of Florida Health Cancer Center to participate in a prestigious internship this fall. The Fall 2021 Cancer Policy Internship will be in Washington, D.C., with the UF Office of Federal Relations. Through this internship, Taylor will be able to learn more about policy at a national level, all while representing the UF College of Nursing.
“I am so excited for this opportunity! It is both nerve-racking and exciting to be the first graduate student from the College of Nursing to be chosen as a policy intern. But I am also really proud of this accomplishment and want to represent our college and the nursing profession as best as I can. I want to share with other my colleagues and nursing students at all levels of education the importance of advocacy, not only for our patients, but for policies that inform the care we provide.” – Taylor Bell
