University of Florida Athletics issued the following announcement on Sept. 14.

The 2021 Ring of Honor Collection is available on Fanatics, Gator Sports Shop, and other key retail partners.

Gator Nation can now take its fandom to the next level and represent the Orange and Blue with this year's officially licensed Ring of Honor merchandise, featuring Florida legends Steve Spurrier and Danny Wuerffel.

The 2021 Ring of Honor Collection is available on Fanatics, Gator Sports Shop, and other key retail partners, including the University of Florida Bookstore, Dick's Sporting Goods, and Alumni Hall.

In collaboration with Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC), the University of Florida last year launched the officially licensed Ring of Honor merchandise collection to commemorate some of the best of Florida football during a three-year span.

The specially curated collection highlights two players each year who have been selected to UF's prestigious Ring of Honor. The collection first featured Gators Greats Emmitt Smith and Jack Youngblood in 2020, and it will conclude with Tim Tebow and Wilber Marshall next year.

Unveiled in September 2006, the Ring of Honor recognizes a select group of football players and coaches that have accomplished remarkable achievements such as winning a Heisman Trophy, NFL Hall of Fame induction, collegiate category leaders, and multiple consensus All-American honors, among others.

In addition to the merchandise program, the University Athletic Association will also develop ways to celebrate the honorees during the upcoming the season.

One of the most prominent Gators, Spurrier made his mark as a coach and player. The 1966 Heisman Trophy winner, he earned All-America status consecutive seasons (1965-66) and shattered every school record at the time for game, season and career in passing and total offense on his way to establishing numerous SEC marks. Returning to The Swamp as a coach, Spurrier compiled a 122-27-1 record from 1990-2001, the most wins for a Gators coach in school history and a winning percentage (.817) that ranked among the top three in SEC history. He coached Florida to its first-ever National Championship victory (1996) and became the first person to have won a Heisman Trophy and to have coached a Heisman Trophy winner (Wuerffel in 1996).

Also a Gator Great and National Collegiate Football Hall of Fame inductee, Wuerffel led the Gators to four straight SEC conference crowns (1993-96) and back-to-back appearances (1995-96) in the National Championship to help Florida win its first-ever national title in 1996. The 1996 Heisman Trophy winner was a two-time All-America honoree (1995-96) and two-time recipient of the Davey O'Brien Award (1995-96), Sammy Baugh Trophy (1995-96) and Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award (1995-96). Wuerffel threw for nearly 11,000 career yards. This included 3,625 yards and 39 touchdowns his senior season. In April, he was named the 2021 Wooden Cup Professional Athlete Award recipient.

In addition to this year's new merchandise for Ring of Honor Collection, products from last year's honorees, Youngblood and Smith, will continue to be available. The collection features officially licensed, Florida branded apparel and non-apparel items, including replica jerseys, from best-in-class licenses such as Nike/Jordan Brand, Top of the World, Highland Mint, Logo Brands, Rock 'Em, Team Beans, WinCraft, and others.
