SF’S My Brother's Keeper Hosting Black Male Enrichment Conference on March 17

Santa Fe College issued the following announcement on March 3.

Santa Fe College’s chapter of My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) will host their annual Black Male Enrichment Conference Thursday, March 17, 2022 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. on SF’s 

Northwest Campus.

The annual conference is for Alachua and Bradford County black male students in 7th through 11th grade and is designed to get them engaged in attending college.

This year’s theme, The Lies We’ve Been Told, is intended to dispel the myths and misinformation about higher education to Black men. In addition, the event will showcase SF 

programs and services, and focus on the benefits of a college education, issues important to black males in the community, access to community programs that help young men 

prepare for the college experience.

Middle and high school students interested in attending should contact their public school guidance counselor. For additional questions about the event please contact
