Our Community Our Health (OCOH) is part of UF Healthstreet's efforts to support communities with tools and resources that help everyone stay healthy.
Per their website: Everyone wants to be safe and healthy. We’re reaching out, into communities that have been hit hard by COVID-19, to hear your feelings and experiences about coping with the pandemic. What we learn will help us support communities with tools and resources that help everyone stay healthy.
OCOH is a new kind of collaborative partnership among communities in Florida, Missouri, Minnesota, New York, California, and Kentucky. With leadership from the Community Engagement Research Program at the University of Florida, our partnership team includes community health workers, cooperative extension agents, researchers and community members.
We know that the best experts about the communities we’re working in are the people who live and work in them. That’s why we’re at churches, hair salons, health fairs, grocery stores, soccer games, neighborhood centers, and more. Here are some of the ways we’re doing this:
- survey of perceptions
- mobile health vehicles
- materials.
