WASHINGTON, D.C. — On April 26, 2023, the House of Representatives passed the Limit, Save, Grow Act to address the debt ceiling.

Included in the bill is the text of the REINS Act, Congresswoman Cammack's landmark legislation to rein in executive overreach. The REINS Act (Regulations from the Executive In Need of Scrutiny) would reassert the legislative authority of Congress and prevent excessive overreach by the executive branch in the federal rulemaking process, saving the American people billions of dollars in federal spending.

"With the passage of the Limit, Save, Grow Act, the most historic regulatory reform in history—the REINS Act—is one step closer to law," said Congresswoman Cammack. "The regulatory regime has gone unchecked for decades and it's time we return power to the American people, not the nameless, faceless bureaucrats in Washington."

Congresswoman Cammack introduced the REINS Act on January 11, 2023. Prior to its inclusion in the Limit, Save, Grow Act, the bill had more than 175 Republican cosponsors in the House of Representatives. Learn more about the bill here and read the Fox News exclusive on its introduction here.
