Later that day, the office addressed recent developments in state-level immigration policy: "Florida isn’t backing down. We’re doubling down. The new Deportation Depot at Baker Correctional is ready—1,300+ detainees, 15 minutes from the runway, costs covered, and modeled after the hard-hitting 'Alligator Alcatraz.' Thank you to President Trump, Governor DeSantis..." (August 19, 2025). The tweet references cooperation with both former President Donald Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis in implementing these policies.

Kat Cammack has represented Florida's 3rd congressional district since replacing Ted Yoho in 2021 and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives. Born in Denver in 1988 and currently residing in Gainesville, she graduated with a BA from Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2015.
