City of Archer issued the following announcement.
The City of Archer intends to submit an application to The USDA Rural Utilities Service for financial assistance from the City of Archer. As required by the National Environmental Policy Act, the Rural Utilities Service has prepared an Environmental Assessment that evaluated the potential environmental effects and consequences of the proposed project. This notice announces the availability of the Environmental Assessment for public review and comments.
The proposed project consists of construction of a gravity sewer collection system with required lift stations and waste water treatment plant. The alternatives considered to the proposed project include gravity, low pressure, and vacuum collection systems along with connection to Newberry, Gainesville, and Williston.
Copies of the Environmental Assessment are available for review at USDA Rural Development, 2441 NE 3rd Street, Suite 204-1, Ocala, Florida 34470 and Archer City Hall, 16870 SW 134th Avenue, Archer, Florida 32618. Any person interested in commenting on this proposed project should submit comments to the address above by Monday, February 24th, 2020.
