City of High Springs recently issued the following announcement.
The High Springs Fire Department and memorial organizer Leda Carrero, in partnership with High Springs Police Department and Kiwanis Club of Santa Fe, will host a 20th anniversary memorial event in remembrance of the attacks of September 11th, 2001.
The event will be held on the steps of the High Springs Fire Department, Saturday September 11th at 8AM. Guests are invited to join us for a morning of reflection. Those in attendance will be encouraged to share their memories of that fateful day, while browsing the beautiful garden and memorials outside of the fire station.
Special guests include your High Springs city officials, Gene Levine and performances by Bagpiper Ben Mowry, Trumpeter Vito Montauk and vocalist Dani Mackinzie.
