35th Annual Hoggetowne Medieval Faire Jan. 22

City of Gainesville recently issued the following announcement.

Travel back in time and experience a world of medieval magic at the 35th Annual Hoggetowne Medieval Faire where battling knights, merry dancers, and mystifying magicians will perform on nine stages.

Join us at the new site, located at 9409 SW Archer Rd, Gainesville, on Jan. 15-16, 22-23 and 28-30, for a medieval marketplace filled with hundreds of artisans and entertainers. Wander the medieval marketplace where talented artisans sell their medieval wares. Step back in time and cheer on jousting knights as they fight for their ladies’ honor, witness a battle on the living chess board, observe a full-flight falconry show and armored combat. Enjoy human-powered push rides as well as camel and pony rides. Be sure to test your strength with old world games, and feast on food fit for a king.

Saturdays and Sundays from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., ticket prices are $20 for adults, $17 for seniors (ages 60+), $17 for military with a valid ID, and $10 for children ages 5 to 17.

On Friday, Jan. 28, we're open from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and offer a “Family Friday” deal, featuring reduced-price ticket sales for all guests. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children.

Get your tickets online in advance through Eventbrite

Tickets are available online through Eventbrite. You will need to select a specific day for your ticket; however, if you cannot attend on your specified ticket date, you do not need to transfer your ticket(s). Your ticket(s) are valid for all 2022 Faire event dates. Eventbrite charges a small convenience fee on ticket purchases. This fee is non-refundable. Skip the lines and purchase your tickets in advance through Eventbrite.
