Possum Creek Skate Jam Skateboard Competition - April 9

City of Gainesville recently issued the following announcement.

The Possum Creek Skate Jam is a family-friendly skateboard competition that recognizes and engages Gainesville’s vibrant skateboard community. This event is free and open to all ages.

The event features a, skateboard competition, best trick contest prizes, giveaways, music with a DJ, urban art, sculpture garden, food trucks and a vendor village.

When: Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Possum Creek Park, 4009 NW 53rd Ave.

  • 10 a.m.: Registration for participants opens
  • 12-5 p.m.: Competition
Registration is required for all competition participants. Divisions are as follows:

  1. 12 years old and under
  2. 13 to 15 years old
  3. 16 to 18 years old
  4. 18 years old and older
  5. Sponsored (pro) skaters
All participants 17 and under must have a parent/guardian present at this event in order to compete. A signed entry/liability waiver form must be completed and presented at the event. The form is available online.
