Of the 1,500 people living in Hawthorne in 2020, 46.9 percent (704) were women and 53.1 percent (796) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the NC Florida News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 43. In the 65 and over age range, there were 165 females and 97 males.
