Archer Community Meeting with Duke Energy
Duke Energy and the Saint Peter Saint Paul Community Council of Archer would like to invite you and your neighbors to a community discussion on Thursday, May 12, 2022, 5-7:15 p.m. at St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church, 17026 SW 83rd Ave, Archer. A follow-up meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 26, 5 p.m.
Duke Energy has a proposal to upgrade an existing telecom shelter at the Archer substation property and update the property’s land-use designation to major utility (required by Alachua County). This is scheduled to go back before the Alachua County Commission on Tuesday, June 14, 2022. Duke Energy wants to be responsive to the community’s request for more discussion about this proposal and Duke’s future priorities in the area.
