High Springs Installs Second Live Weather Station

2

City of High Springs partners with WeatherSTEM and the Florida Division of Emergency Management to launch a second weather station.

The City of High Springs is proud to announce the launch of a second WeatherSTEM weather station at the Santa Fe Canoe Outpost. This new system was installed at no cost to High Springs residents, thanks to a grant from Florida Division of Emergency Management and their Florida Severe Weather Network (FSWN) program. FSWN Santa Fe River will join FSWN High Springs Fire, installed in December at the High Springs Fire Department.

This unit is rated to withstand wind gusts of up to 185 mph - the likes of which we hope we never see in High Springs! It features WeatherSTEM DataStream enhancement, updating almost every second with real-time weather conditions. The system is solar-powered and cellular. FSWN Santa Fe River also offers live video streaming with the new and improved “cloud camera.”

To view the station, visit https://alachua.weatherstem.com/fswnsantafe   or download the WeatherSTEM app and search for FSWN High Springs Santa Fe River.
