City Observes New Year's Holiday | City of Gainesville
In observance of the New Year's Day holiday, city offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 2, 2023.
The Regional Transit System (RTS) will provide reduced service Sunday, Jan. 1 (reduced service is indicated on schedules with an “R” in the far right column under each route direction column section). Please visit the RTS website and schedule pages for more information.
Residential curbside collection for garbage, recycling and yard trash will be delayed one day for the week following New Year's Day. For example, regular Tuesday collection will occur on Wednesday, regular Wednesday collection will occur on Thursday, etc.
